A perfect Road, Front Street Pictures,
Danica McKellar, David Haydn-Jones, Christian Convery, Bruce Dawson, Deidre Hall, Greg Harper, Dee Jay Jackson, Owen Kwong, Jackson Lake, Christine Lee, Chelsea Mae Leung, Madeline Mast
Christina Masters (Danica McKellar) is the manager of McDougal’s flagship store, when the owner stops in for a visit. Victoria (Diedre Hall) has some news. The store is going international, and the first store in Paris is about to open and Victoria is looking for a manager. Christina spent some time in college in Paris and is dying to go back again and seems right for the job, but Victoria wants Christina to show her stuff by designing the store’s Christmas window display to WOW her. Trouble is, Christina is out of ideas, but a very creative former employee Kurt (David Haynd-Jones) and his little boy may have to help her to get the job done.
This is a quality Hallmark 2016 Premier movie. The different characters in this film really bring a lot to the plot including Christina’s best friend, Holly (Cristina Lee) and the old timer Henry (Bruce Dawson) who has worked at the store since he was a young man all add a lot to the story. The little boy who plays Kurt’s son is also a scene-stealer, and this little guy who ask too many questions is a real star. All in all, it slowly unfolds exactly the way it simply has to, but it’s so much fun along the way that it really kept me entertained. I haven’t found a bad movie yet with either Candace Cameron Bure or Danica McKellar and they seem to be competing every year. This 2016 entry by Danica is a winner, and I think you’ll find it very worth while to watch.

Active Entertainment,
Larisa Oleynik, Aaron Ashmore, Linda Darlow, Kevin McNulty, Terence Kelly, Karen Holness, Dee Jay Jackson, Winnie Hung, Graeme Duffy, Gabe Khouth, Lisa Chandler
A little boy sends his wish to Santa to bring someone for his Dad for Christmas as he is very lonely. Meanwhile Amelia (Larisa Oleynik) is a gal with the role of coming into divisions of a large companies holdings to trim the fat, issue layoffs, and turn them into a profit. She rides in, dumps a slew of pink slips and flies on to the next organization. But it’s Christmas time and she lands in a familiar little town to find most of the people working for a hand crafted ornament factory run by an old friend of hers, Jesse (Aaron Ashmore). He assumes she’s come to help turn a profit after the company lost one of their biggest customers just before the holidays, and she hides the fact that she’s there to close it down. But Santa may have some bigger and better plans that either of them can understand in order to grant a little boy’s wish.
No, they did not meet on the top of the Empire State Building, but yes it is a lot like “Sleepless in Seattle”. This is so similar to so many others, even some that are new this year like this is, where the evil corporation is looking to close down a major business in the little town that loves Christmas, but it’s still not a bad film. It has some good moments and the actors are really pretty good. The film is filled with Christmas spirit with lots of romance, music, and Christmas themes thrown in. It’s certainly not a barn burner, but it is a nice little time passer if you enjoy the typical Christmas romance. Lifetime has brought a sweet little Christmas film for us this year.

Lifetime,
Meredith Hagner, Travis Milne, Dylan Archambault, Catherine Barroll, Anthony Bolognese, Dave Collette, Bernard Cuffling, Dolores Drake, Cherilynn Fulbright, Dee Jay Jackson, Kathryn Kirkpatrick, Elfina Luk, Mark McConchie, Nicole Oliver, Sheri Rabold, Michael Teigen
Gwen (Meredith Hagner) is a personal shopper. Her latest client is Charlie (Travis Milne) a high strung work-a-holic who threw himself into his work when his wife died. He’s raising a young son who is missing his father. Gwen is a energetic spirit and full of Christmas cheer. But when she meets Charlie’s son, she realizes how little time he spends with his son, and she steps in to try to reconnect the two. She sees Charlie as the man he used to be before the terrible tragedy that he has never been able to shake.
This Lifetime presentation for 2015. It’s a charmingly sweet story. Gwen and her sister are really good together. Anthony Bolognese as Charlie’s son Owen is really good for such a little guy. He does a really good job. All in all this is an enjoyable little Christmas tale.
