The biggest new release this week is probably “The Expendables 2”, a fun comedy action film with just about everybody who’s ever made an action film, including Stallone, Statham, Jet Li, Arnold, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, to name just a few. There are some other honorable mentions like ParaNorman, a kids flick about a child who can talk to the dead, and The Odd Life of TImothy Green about a couple who wanted a kid so much they would do anything. It’s a family fable. Also gathering some attraction will be “Sparkle” with Jordin Sparks and Whitney Houston. This is reminiscent of some great, girl wanna be a star films. Does Glitter come to mind? Uh oh.
Other releases are “The Awakenings” a ghost story, “Cosmopolis”, where Robert Pattinson is having a horrible day, “Robot & Frank” a story of an aging cat burglar who finds friendship with a piece of metal, and “Why Stop Now” a comedy featuring Jesse Eisenberg and Tracy Morgan.
