This is another film from 2012. The fact that it has two names is an indication that something’s wrong. There is some pretty decent humor here, and the slapstick comedy of pratfalls and disasters are non-stop. But there is something that irritated me throughout. These folks are supposed to be nearly 30 years old, yet they all are still stuck in high school. Why didn’t any of them figure out how to grow up a little bit. The high school pranks and such are way too childish, and make us feel uncomfortable. There is no reason why this woman would keep trying for this goofy jock over and over, and there’s no way she could miss that her friend Ben is longing for her, but she goes on her shallow way, oblivious to everything. It’s a light-hearted movie that you can waste some time with, but it is not a great Christmas film as it fails on all the things that make a holiday tale memorable. This was not the film I was looking for and I would skip this one.
