** So This is Christmas

Foster Entertainment,

Eric Roberts, Lexi Ainsworth, Titus Makin Jr, Vivica A. Fox, Bryan Massey

Ashley (Lexi Ainsworth) is a teenager living in a messed up family. Her Dad is trying to keep over her, but Ashley is hanging out with a really troubled girl, and headed down the wrong path. Meanwhile, Jason (Titus Makin Jr.) also lives with them and his Mother Sharon (Vivica A Fox) sees no wrong in her athlete son who is really hanging out with some bad people, taking drugs and committing all kinds of crimes to support his habit. But when her Dad hires a handyman Mac (Bryan Massey), he takes an interest in Ashley and talks her into writing a Christmas Play and directing it at a kid’s shelter, things start to turn around.

This is a touching and heartwarming story with a lot of depth. The characters are very well developed and there are not a lot of members of the cast, so we get to learn a lot about each of them. It’s very complex and twisted with a long tale of failure and redemption. This movie has a religious feel to it, without any preaching. The issues are deep and the story digs into it very well. This is a Christmas themed movie, but not really a Christmas story. Warning: It does get very intense in the last half hour! Bad choices have consequences, and it’s hard to back out after you have been down the wrong road for a while. This is an intense movie with a lot of problems. Redemption is a hard long road, but this is a really good movie. Give it a chance, but there is no Santa Claus in this one!
