An autobiographical story of LeAnn Rimes from her early childhood through her appearance on the Grand Ole Opry, her greatest dream since Childhood.  LeAnn goes through the hard times on the road until one day on the bus they hear their song “Blue” on the radio.  Then things get really crazy.  Finally one week she was invited to sing at the Opry.  As he dream is about to come true, she gets a call that her beloved grandmother is in the hospital, about to go into surgery, and it’s not looking too good.  While facing the choice of whether to go to her grandmother or to live her dream and sing on the king of all shows, she meets Faith (Bernadette Peters) a worn out tired singer who is way past her hey-day who befriends her and takes her out on a day on her own.  They visit a lot of places and it seems as if Faith is trying to show her the hardships that people faith, and tries to warn her of the things that life will bring.  She tells an amazing story of her life and LeAnn has to go back to the Opry and make her decision.

This is a wonderful autobiography based on LeAnn’s book, and it’s nice that she was able to play the part of herself.  It must have been doubly touching to, after having written the story down, to have to bring it all back again by acting it out.  It’s a wonderful story and well performed, and LeAnn has a truly lovely voice.  The duet of Patsy Cline’s “Crazy” between LeAnn and Bernadette is a beautiful thing.  Though not specifically a Christmas story, it does take place around Christmas, and it’s shown on TV during December every year.  Very nice piece of work!
