This is the third in “The Good Witch” series (The Good Witch, The Good Witch’s Garden) and the first Christmas story. Cassie (Catherine Bell) and Jake (Chris Potter) are still engaged and Jake decides it has been long enough. He wants to have the wedding for Christmas. But there are problems stopping them all along the way. Cassie is a strange person with very strange background and hardly any records. Meanwhile, a convicted robber has returned to town, released from Prison on good behavior and everyone thinks he’s looking for the loot that has never been found. But Jake knows that he’s the one who sent him to prison ten years ago. Is he back for revenge. But he keeps showing up at his ex-wife’s house, even though she served him divorce papers while he was in prison.
This is a nice movie with lots of colorful characters. If you’re familiar with the series, then this is a must see, but even taking this movie all on it’s own is very enjoyable. There are a lot of development of the various characters in town, and a lot of drama about what everyone is up to. But it’s a Christmas story so naturally there has to be a wonderful happy ending. This film doesn’t disappoint on the Christmas spirit and is a good family Christmas film!
