Jules (Nikki Deloach) is a successful marketer in New York City, but she has fond memories of her childhood Christmases spent with Aunt Glenda (Maureen McCormick) at a Christmas Tree farm and attraction called Christmas Land. But Aunt Glenda has passed, and she left the entire operation to her niece Jules. Jules and her boyfriend think that it would be an easy way to make some money to go and claim the property. But the local lawyer who is probating the will is named Tucker Barnes (Luke MacFarlane), and he’s charming and handsome. But he’s hinted to the folks in the town that Jules is coming to reopen Christmas Land and all the shops, stores, and restaurants associated with it. But naturally the charm and beauty of Christmas Land as well as the charm and beauty of Tucker is making it hard for her to turn the property over and go back to the city.
This is a charming little Christmas tale. The setting is really beautiful, and the hometown folks are very fun to watch. This is a Hallmark film, so it’s good quality with some good performances. This is not the most outstanding of the new batch of Christmas films, but it’s cute enough. The trouble is that they are really running out of clever new ideas for Christmas stories so the rework the same scenarios over and over. This is understandable as there are hundred and hundreds of these movies and a demand for new ones this year. I have to say I enjoyed this little film and I felt like this was a nice last minute new film to catch before the big day. I would like to visit Christmas Land. Anytime.
