The town has a “Wishing Tree” where people can make a wish and it will come true. In the town is a private school where teacher Dennis Farnsworth (Jason Gedrick) is still grieving the loss of his wife, so he agrees to stay over Christmas to babysit two excellent students who are orphaned and are forced to stay over the holidays. But a third student, spoiled rich kid Andrew Breen (Richard Harmon) also has to stay because his parents are off to Paris for the holidays. Andrew starts the holiday by smashing up the wishing tree and getting himself arrested. As the time goes by the four have to either learn to tolerate each other, or they will all be in big trouble.

This brand new Christmas film from Hallmark is a wonderful story. It is very touching and gets right to the heart of love, loss, and family. Those who are alone through the holidays can get by by helping others, finding a way to give, and helping each other and others make the time fly by. Not sappy like many holiday stories, this is very realistic and seems like the kind of story that happens every day. This is a great new addition to the Holiday specials, and one that we’ll surely watch again. I highly recommend this Christmas film.
